Mission
The Ala Wai Watershed Association (AWWA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is "E malama kakou i ka wai mai uka a ke kai," which means "Let us all come together to care for the waters that flow from the mountains to the sea."
What we do
From advocating policy and testifying at the legislature to working with landowners and coordinating service groups, we navigate the complicated 21st century issues of landownership, competing interests and stormwater best practices to teach the community how to live with, care for, and protect the fresh water streams that flow through East Honolulu’s urban watershed.
